That Frog Really Gets Around

To my great disappointment, Kermit is featured in an ad for Ford's new hybrid SUV:



While I appreciate the importance of "being green" in the sense the ad means, this usage seems to be a departure from the original sentiment of Kermit's song. "It's not easy being green" was about how it's difficult being different no matter whoever (or whatever) you are. Although we do live in largly accepting times, I still think it's not easy being green.
