My First A's Game this Season

I was the unexpected beneficiary of free tickets to yesterday's Oakland Athletics game. Not only were the seats free, but they were quite good (field level behind the first base dugout). Unfortunately, the A's were not so good. We lost 11-4.

This was due in large part to the pitching of Kenny Rodgers. He'd only given up one run when he left the game with two on and one out in the eighth. Although, he'd be charged with two more runs after the subsequent reliever promptly gave up a double. All the same, another good outing in Oakland for Rodgers. His record here is simply astounding: As an Athletic, he went 15-0 and home. As a visitor, he's 10-3 at the Colisuem. We should never have let him go (despite his occasional violent persecution of water coolers).
