Eric's Birthday in SLO

My brother Eric rounded up a group of friends to celebrate his birthday in San Luis Obispo. Nathan played host. Simon cooked a wonderful dinner. Michael played a variety of musical instruments. Adrian sang. Lee wrote. I watched. There was even a green kosher for passover cake with candles.

Exploration: Nato and Michael attempting to play.

Musical Merriment: Nathan on accordion, Michael on guitar, Eric on harmonium, as Adrian looks on.

The Brothers Saichek.

A Stirring Performance: Adrian sings a an ode to trees.

A Musical Duo.

Note the question mark candle.

Later in the evening there was an epic frolth game (frisbee golf to the uninitiated). I was singlehandedly resposnsible for my team being out of the running on the first hole. Aiming to throw long and having only a sign post to avoid, I managed to gain a measly ten feet (I squarely struck the pole).

Adrian, Nato, and I elected to make the second hole a technical one. It might have helped our cause if we had functioning mental capacities. The linchpin of our hole involved making a basket with the disc in a seemingly regulation height basketball hoop. Had we thought about this at all, we would have realized that we were by far the shortest team. As it turned out, the two other teams made the basket surprisingly easily utilizing taller players. Being shorter, we had to throw the frisbee a greater distance into the wind. Where the other teams completed the hole in a respectable number of throws, we took perhaps 30 throws just to make the basket.

The game was narrowly won by Eric's team as Michael made an amazing throw through Rachel and Eric's legs. Do not believe the allegations that Simon dumped. Even the amazing Simon occasionally misses.
