Play Ball!

The 2006 baseball season is under way. The start of this new season really highlights the oddity of our extended rainy season. Apart from this year, I can't recall an opening day in the Bay Area that was anything but sunny.

The inaguration of the new campaign also signals the beginning of fantasy baseball leagues. Kris and Scott prevailed upon me to participate in the madness this year. And so it has come to pass that I'm managing the Purple Conkers in Sir kLog's Artichoke League. This is another wholly foreign experience for me.

Strange weather and rotisserie leagues aside, I'm excited about the return of the boys of summer to the diamond.
