My Most Recent Ride

On Thursday morning Scott and I went of a brief bike ride. Since he usually rides in Davis, Scott was hoping for a climb. Given my limited availability (not to mention ability), we settled on a trip from my house, up Camden, down Coleman to Redmond, and back via the Creek Trail. We set out at a brisk pace. Scott was cruising while I was already pushing a bit to maintain his pace. I aniticpated that climbing Camden would be worse than it was. All the same, I trailed Scott by a minute up the hill. As usual, the climb really took it's toll on me. I wondered what life would be like without asthma while we rested at the top. We went back much slower on my account. Scott was still in fine fettle. If I were to hand out jerseys for this one hour ride, Scott would win them all.
